It may sound daunting at first, but there is no better way to celebrate our country’s freedom than with a fabulous outdoor gala at the Pacific Missile Range Facility on Kaua‘i’s ruggedly beautiful southwestern shores. Located on the sunny leeward coast, the military base opens its gates wide and offers a family-fun filled day of carnival rides, local food trucks and specialty vendors, and arts and craft booths. The fun starts July 3 at 5pm, with free admission, live entertainment from Sammy Johnson, and a carnival midway on the beach near Shenanigans restaurant. Fireworks will begin at 9:45pm. NOTE: Heightened security means all adults should be sure to bring a valid photo ID card, and no outside drinks, food, or weapons are allowed.
