Although Air-conditioning isn’t usually necessary on Kauai because of the wonderful trade winds, some of our guests prefer accommodations with full climate control. We are pleased to offer a select number of Air conditioned Kauai Vacation Rentals.

Thanks to steady tropical trade winds fanning our shores, Kaua‘i’s temperatures rarely rise above the low 80s (with average temps comfortably in the 70s). Indeed, in the winter season when the temperature drops to the low 70s or even high 60s, you might even catch some of the locals wearing socks with their slippers! Still, despite perfect weather nearly year-round, sometimes you just need some good old-fashioned air-conditioning to cool you down after a hot day of hiking or a long tanning session at the beach. Fortunately, nearly all of Ahh! Aloha’s vacation rentals feature full or partial air conditioning, with traditional Hawaiian ceiling fans and the trades doing the rest. If you desire full climate control, check out these wonderful luxury retreats in Kauai.

South Shore the drier coast thanks to the rain shadow of the island’s interior mountains. If you were ever going to need air conditioning on Kauai, it would be on this sun-soaked corner of the island. Poipu Kapili features air conditioning in the bedroom, with a large lanai door and ceiling fans providing plenty of cool breezes for the living room. At Poipu Kai Resort, the private villas such as Mele Hale (“House of Song”) feature individual climate controlled air conditioners in the living spaces and bedrooms.
East Coast Kauai Vacation Condos
In between the cool extreme of the North Coast and the sunnier climes of the South Shore, Ahh! Aloha’s offerings on the east side of Kaua‘i also feature air conditioning for those who desire it. Pono Kai offers AC in its Kauai vacation condos, Banyan Harbor’s beach-style town houses feature air conditioning throughout, and the plantation-style rooms at the Islander on the Beach feature ceiling fans and central air.
As the coolest and wettest side of Kaua‘i, air conditioning is seldom required in the resort town of Princeville. Still, if you are the master of the thermostat, several of the luxury retreats Kaua'i offered by Ahh! Aloha do offer at least partial air conditioning. Puamana at Anini Beach offers air conditioning in both bedrooms, the Plantation features air conditioning units in the master bedroom and living room, and the Hanalei Bay Resort has AC in the living room and second bedroom (the master suite has a lanai and ceiling fan). Other choices include Puu Poa with AC throughout its 2-bedroom condo and the long-term rentals at Villas on the Prince (partial AC).
