Thanks to its ancient volcanic origins, Kaua‘i is home to some of the most breathtaking scenery on Earth. Beautiful beaches and pristine reefs fringe its shores, and Kaua‘i’s landscape is one of extremes. Here you can find the wettest place on earth (Mount Waialeale), the largest canyon in the Pacific (Waimea Canyon), and some of the highest sea cliffs in the world (the Na Pali coast). Ahh! Aloha offers a wide selection of comfortable and luxurious Kauai oceanfront vacation rentals across the island, meaning you can experience all Kaua‘i has to offer. From resort-style condos in Līhu‘e and Kapaa to vacation homes with panoramic views of the rugged North Shore, we have the perfect lodgings for every global traveler.
Kaua‘i may be a small island, but it is loaded with amazing natural attractions and plenty of sights to see. From the soaring cliffs of the North Coast and their dazzling palette of vibrant reds, greens, and browns, to the mysterious valleys, hidden waterfalls, and secret beaches that dot its shores, there is no shortage of amazing here. Not to be missed is the rugged Na Pali Coast. The truly daring can experience on foot via the 22-mile (roundtrip) Kalalau Trail, by sea from a sailboat or kayak tour, or by helicopter tour from Līhu‘e or Honolulu (the less daring can simply hike the first few ridges). Beyond the cliffs lies the natural wonder of Waimea Canyon. Accessible only from the south, this 12-mile long gorge plunges over 3,000 feet and showcases the ancient geology of the island’s fiery past. Panoramic vistas of the canyon and the Na Pali Coast are easily accessible by car and relatively short hikes, or you can lace up your boots and explore the depths of the canyon itself on a network of trails that takes you through pristine tropical forests, exotic marshlands, and a land that time forgot.
Magic by the Sea
In the north, Princeville and the quaint village of Hanalei are both excellent places to stay during your visit to Kaua‘i. Hanalei Bay, surrounded by towering cliffs, is a perfect beach for the entire family to spend the day. Life here is slower paced and peaceful, so don’t be surprised to find your troubles magically drifting away. Elsewhere on the North Shore you can explore some of the most scenic beaches on Earth (though always check conditions, winter waves are quite large here).
In between the sweeping wonder of Waimea and the awesome grandeur of the North Shore are countless waterfalls, forest hikes, and sunny beaches. We always recommend visitors make a sightseeing plan, but always leave yourself free to explore. With a wide selection of Kauai oceanfront vacation rentals to choose from, Ahh! Aloha has you covered!
